About

Hello, and welcome to my blog! My name is Jordan Rubin and I'm a senior accounting student at the University of Georgia and upcoming risk analysis intern for the PCAOB. I've wanted to start my own blog for a long time. I, however, thought I wasn't good enough to make a blog. I thought my ideas would suck, and my execution of the would be even worse. finally, a couple months ago, I decided to take action and create "Eclipse Motivation". I stopped waiting for the ideal opportunity, and instead made my opportunity ideal.

I created this blog to help motivate myself and you, the reader, to stay positive and focused on your goals in life. I don't believe I would be where I am right now if it weren't for the motivational articles and speakers that helped me get through my rough patches in life, and I want to provide that same opportunity to you.

The original title "Outside the Clock" was a methaphor for the typical "busy schedule" which consumes our live, and prevents us from reaching our full potential. I compare the typical busy schedule to being "on the clock", because our time is dictated by our job, education and responsibilities.

However, after seeing the solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, I decided to change the name to "Eclipse Motivation". Just like the moon eclipsed the sun, you need to learn to eclipse all the negativity in your life. When you let negativity take control, you have a negative attitude, which creates a negative output in life. Instead, you need to learn to eclipse the negativity, eclipse your fears, and eclipse your uncertainty.
